At the hearing of 24 March 2021, in the context of the review of the laws after the promulgation, the Constitutional Court unanimously upheld the objection of unconstitutionality formulated by a number of 33 senators belonging to the Parliamentary Group of the Social Democratic Party and found that the Law approving the Government Emergency Ordinance No 91/2019 on the abolition of the Institute of December 1989 Romanian Revolution and the Government Emergency Ordinance No 91/2019 on the abolition of the Institute of December 1989 Romanian Revolution are unconstitutional, as a whole.

The decision is final and generally binding.
The arguments retained as grounds for the solution delivered by the Constitutional Court shall be presented in the decision, to be published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I.
